She cries out as the light burns her eyes
Dreaming insecurity
Torment from her flaws before the screen
Here to sleep
here for dignity
Counting every second her heart drops
And it's cold touch stirs her slumber
Oh her waking
Dreams
Insecurity
The slight murmur
And from the bells
Clocks chime at nine
She rises from slumber where hearts sell
Their discontent
And their dreams
Where they lack not their insecurities
The ones who keep her safe at night
To watch her sleep
They steal her thoughts
And on everything she keeps
Close to her heart
Her dreams,
Her insecurity
It passes midnight
And it's deep inside
Waking from soft footsteps
Maybe She should have kept away
And when she dresses
Tying the scarf around her neck
Maybe it was the rain
Stealing all she loved
Where all she has
Everything she keeps
Her dreams,
Her insecurity
And the slight murmur of discontent.
